Odette Yustman

Beautiful Odette Yustman.

The LA-born actress will welcome you to 2009 with her chilling horror flick Unborn, which is about Odette Yustman's unborn twin brother haunting her:

Horror movies are lucky for Odette since she became popular with this year's Cloverfield. In the movie Yustman plays a college girl Beth who, along with her friends, survives a supernatural attack in New York.

Odette has provided the voice and likeness for the character Amata in Fallout 3, which is set in 2277, 200 years after a nuclear war, with most survivors living in a fallout shelter. Yustman says she used to play games like Super Mario Brothers and Mortal Kombat as a teenager, and her current favorite game is Guitar Hero.

Even though Odette Yustman was a child actor, and appeared in Kindergarten Cop her mother Lydia said, "We never took (acting) seriously because school is more important." Odette graduated from Woodcrest Christian School, where she was voted homecoming queen.

Yustman planned on attending Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles to earn a degree in business finance, but decided to try living her dream first. "I figured 'you know what, why not? I'm going to go ahead and do this'," Odette said. "I've been fortunate enough to be successful enough to just have that pay my bills, so it has been nice, just lovely. Very warm and welcoming."

Initially Odette took up modeling while looking for acting work. She shifted from her family's Morena Valley home to Hollywood and in 2005 landed the role of Arielle in the Jennifer Lopez UPN drama South Beach, replacing Sara Foster. Yustman's character became very popular in a show about beauties and hunks.

Odette Yustman recently told GQ Magazine, "I grew up on a farm...I'd watch my grandfather shoot our pigs in the head. It was horrifying -- until we'd eat them."

Although Odette is an all-American girl born (May 10, 1985) and raised in Morena Valley, she has an interesting ethnic background. "My mum is Cuban and my father is of Italian and French descent and was born in Bogota, Colombia, and raised in Nicaragua. But they moved to California a long time ago," Yustman says. "I learned Spanish at home and, since half my family doesn't speak English, it's my first language."

And despite her ethnic background and all that pig-eating, Odette Yustman recently told Rolling Stone Magazine, "I'm pretty skinny, and, being Cuban, I shouldn't be. It baffles me. Where are the hips? Where are the boobs? I would love to be voluptuous."
