Natasha Henstridge body

Canadian actress Natasha Henstridge, famous for her gorgeous body since her days as a tall teenage model, now pursues serious roles in films. At the start of her career though, in the cult Species from 1995, it was all about her body. "Yeah. My destiny kicked in big time," Natasha told Esquire. "Overtime. And I played this real deadpan character, so it was a perfect way to start."

Her hot body came a little bit from doing martial arts: "I studied Kenpo karate about 10 years ago. And I used to beat up the boys in the playground when I was in second grade at school!" Talking about her body revealing Species role, Henstridge told More magazine: "People bring it up, and I always make the crack, 'Yeah, I wish I had that body still'. But you can't stay 19 forever. I'm completely happy developing into the woman that I've become."

By this time she was well past her deadpan, but sexy, Species character and was doing a variety of movie roles in comedies like The Whole Nine Yards (2000), the sci-fi thriller Ghosts of Mars (2001), and the TV series She Spies (2002). Natasha won the Gemini Award for best actress for her role in the Canadian TV mini-series Would Be Kings in 2008.

Natasha has had several relationships, a failed early marriage, and is mother to two boys: 13-year old Tristan and 9-year old Asher with actor Liam Waite. Henstridge began dating Scottish singer Darius Danesh Campbell in 2006, had a five month separation from him this year, but is now back in a relationship with him.

Natasha Henstridge is 5'10" tall and did her early body revealing roles with a figure of 36C-25-36; surprisingly, the former model confessed to feeling the pressure to lose weight, and experimenting with diet pills. Natasha gained some weight in 2008, but this time preferred the natural way to get back in shape, running on the beach and hiking. She told OK magazine in 2009 of taking trapeze classes and the Pulse fitness program: "It's a 30-minute treadmill program with bands and various other weight training integrated and they play music and they yell at you — 'Keep up, keep up!' And I like to roller blade and I mountain bike in the hills."

She has never gone nude in a magazine even after being propositioned by Playboy back in 2002: "They've contacted me a couple of times. I've turned them down twice. I think it's more interesting to be a little older doing Playboy."

Natasha would go nude for a movie role, telling More: "I would do nudity again for the right project. God, if somebody offered me something like The Reader, I wouldn't think twice about it. I would look a little different than I did, but I'd be in the gym for months and hope the lighting was good!"

Natasha, who owned a Rottweiler for 12 years, told More.com: "There are a gazillion animals that need homes. And adopting before buying is certainly the way to go to help cut that down."

Another TV movie this year was The Devil's Teardrop, in which Natasha played a FBI agent and co-starred with Tom Everett Scott and Rena Sofer. She guest-starred in Drop Dead Diva and has a prominent role in the ABC show Eli Stone. On the big screen Henstridge will be seen next year in the comedy Should've Been Romeo and The Perfect Student.
